REVOLUTION CHURCH
The Blessings at Hunts Point are flowing!
It's always a blessing to be with the folks at Revolution Church in Hunt's Point (Bronx, NY)  Pastor Bryan Johnson and long time friend - Ubran Missionaries - Jeff & Rachel Mohl are seeing GOD do amazing things.  The church meets in a building people rent to have special events and parties.  On Sunday morning and Thurs. night there's a kind of celebration going on that puzzles people as they walk by.  Is that the WORD of GOD, being preached in that place?  Is that church going on in there?  They are really making
a difference.
I was blessed to be able to share with them about the upcoming mission to Nicaragua, South Africa, Swaziland, Kenya and Moz-
ambique.  They don't normally take up an offering at REV but
the Lord lead them to take up two offerings!  They have no plate
for the offering so the mop bucket lined with a plastic shopping
bag was passed through the group in mid- service.  At the end one
of the church members said he felt the LORD was telling him that
they should recieve another offering with $100. Total of the two offerings was $306.00  What a blessing.

What happened

The HOME where I have been blessed to live for several years thanks to Dave Mumma who is a wonderful friend and very generous supporter of PEI.  Without Dave, and his willingness to be the Financial Sponser for Fika and Bo, I would never have had the joy of having them with me here in the USA.  Dave even permitted to basement to be transformed into an amazing place for Fika and Bo to live.  Dave has given me such an amazing opportunity to have a HOME at extremely affordable rent as a part of his contribution to the ministry.  I am sure Dave wouldn't want you to know all this but, I am so grateful for all he's done, I wanted you to know what his sacrifice has been.
Some of you might not know that Dave was in the proccess of  selling the house as he  gets ready for his wedding in mid-October. The Public Auction took place on Saturday, Oct. 3 and I would love to tell you it was a great day, but for me it's a day I want to forget.  Without going into much detail I will tell you that it was probably one of the worst days of my life.
The majority of the furniture that I owned sold for a small fraction of what I thought it might bring.  I could have done better having a yard sale. It was painful watching it all go for so little. The food sale we had to benefit PEI didn't break even and the leftover items I donated to Quarryville's Community Day.
THE GOOD NEWS!
  GOD IS Supercalafragilisticexpealadocious!
I can't use the word "GOOD" for GOD anymore because of the way that word is used today. People say: ice cream is good. This food is so good. Even "I'm good." There is no word it seems, that can describe just how AWESOME GOD is so I am using a crazy made up word from a song long ago.  Here's some of what was so GOOD about what took place.
  1) The ladies of Shiloh Community Fellowship
made enough baked goods on short notice to
feed half of EPHRATA!  John & Beck Rush
drove all the way from Quarryville to deliver
      them.
  2) The Philly Pretzel Company (Lititz) donated 100
      freshly baked soft pretzels.
  3) Terry Smythe donated 150 hot dogs and rolls
and ran the food stand along with is mother
      Peggy!
  4) Thanks to Dean Weaver - Reformed Presby.
Church of Ephrata loaned us their 60 cup
      coffee maker and coffee!
  5) John Martin (PEI Supporter/Uncle of Fika & Bo)
donated supplies and his time to make and
serve coffee and donuts and helped with
      set up.
  6) MaryEllen Edwards (Shiloh), her son Caleb &
Darren Reineer came all the way from SOLACO
with a donation from HERRS and helped with
the food stand.  Then they delivered food from
the sale to Quarryville's Community Day, but
MaryEllen also arranged a bake sale at Shiloh
for Sunday a.m. with baked goods from the
Auction.  The bake sale including a special
donation for $350 from one young PEI supporter
      raised a total of $450.
What's next?
Hmmmmm . . . . that's a great question. I was thinking by now I might have an answer to that.  Though the house is 90% empty, Dave Mumma continues to look out for me by allowing me to have a HOME possibly until I need to leave for my mission trip! That would be awesome.  Even if I had no running water, electricity or bed I would be happy if I could just live in this place that is the only HOME I've known for many many years.  I am so grateful to Dave for making this possible.
One young man I mentor said:"you know Chris GOD might just have someone buy this house and then continue to let you live here for the same price."  That would be the biggest miracle I've seen in my 30+ years of ministry.  Certainly fits the category of "beyond what I could ask or even think to ask!"  But, of course I asked!  Go GOD!  It's enough if I get to stay here until I leave for AFRICA.  I believe GOD has a similar situation for me that HE will reveal in his time.  Somewhere in the EPHRATA area I feel confident there is not a place for me to live . . . there is a "HOME" for me to share as I have with Dave.  A Christian family with a place for me to be at home, a couple of empty nesters who would love to share their HOME with a missionary or  . . . . something beyond my imagination! Please pray with me.
Now it time for me to focus on the upcoming mission trip. I invited you to check it out and be sure to get involved!  I need your prayers.  Maybe GOD would also lead you to be one of the financial supporters that makes the trip happen.  For information:  www.ProjectEarthInternational.org then click on JABEZ RETURN.   GOD bless you!

Nova
Knee Scooter
TKC-8
It's time for . . .
DRASTIC MEASURES!
There are several reasons I am sharing this with you.  The first is: many of you ask often how I am making out with my foot problem.  Well, it's in it's 3rd year and at it's worst ever. The second reason: Maybe you actually have one of these that is sitting around your garage or attic. Or maybe you know someone who sells this type of orthopedic equipment and would be willing to give me a significant discount.
Laying on my back in bed with my foot elevated for a long while is one way my foot might improve enough for all the walking I will need to do during the mission trip that is less than 2 months away.  Sadly, I don't have time for that option as I must be mobile.  This heavy duty version of a "knee scooter would make it possible for me to be "humbly" mobile while being able to stay off my foot 95% of the time.  There are many knee scooters out there but the NOVA TKC-8 is the one for a big guy like me.  The cost?  Well, let's say . . . much less than some of the other alternatives. It might even be possible for me to bring it with me on the mission if needed.  (Click on the scooter for more info.
Imagine how humbling it will be to use
this in public? I am willing!
Thanks be to GOD!                                                           Update: 10:00 pm - October 6, 2009
I am so blessed to announce that through the generosity of some dear people who love me and felt lead by GOD to help, I will have a TKC-8 Knee Scooter in a few days and be able to get back to work.  Don't laugh at me when you see me, ok?
Thanks to Dave I still have a home!
Thanks to Dave I still have a home!
I am so blessed that Dave has given me a chance to continue to have a HOME.  Though the house is now empty, As you can see from the pictures above I am living in the special place that was created for Fika and Bo in the basement.  It's a happy place for me to be for as long as the LORD permits.  Where I will live when I return from Africa is in the hands of the LORD.  I know that HE has a plan for me.  Thanks for your prayers! There's a possibility that I will be able to remain here until I leave for the end of November.  Thanks Dave!  GOD bless you.

REV's sister - BEACON BIBLE CHURCH  was next!
For many years Pastor Jack Raeside and Beacon Bible Church have partnered with PEI for their mission trips.  REV CHURCH is a sister congregation.  Rarely do I share at one church without sharing at the other.  Since Beacon has a
later service (12:30p) it makes it possible to do both.  At Beacon I shared music, the mission and a message.  I was a powerful time with them as always.  They also gave a special offering for PEI's  JABEZ RETURN!  GOD is so good!
Thanks BEACON and REV for your partnership with Project E.A.R.T.H. International.  Together we are making a differ-
ence at home and around the world!
Saying GOODBYE to my "Electronic Friend"
If you've never owned an I-Touch or I-Phone you might not understand
why I think it's such a big deal that a teenager - Caleb - would say
a fond farewell to his I-Touch.
I remember how much he admired my I-Touch shortly after I was given one as a gift.  He couldn't wait to get one.  I remember the day he got it and proudly showed it to me.  He asked how to get the BIBLE apps for it and we enjoyed talking about little tips for use.  So when I was chatting with him online and he told me he was getting rid of it I was surprised.  He told me that it tempted him in ways he didn't like and that it wasn't work the risk so he gave it to his mom and said he didn't want it any more.  WOW!  What a testimony that was to me.  Though I haven't had that happen to me (yet) I wondered if I could be so strong in my convictions? "Out of the mouths of babes!"  GOD bless you Caleb!  GOD is honored and I am encouraged.  Thanks!
Every penny counts!
While visiting with friends, KEVIN appeared with a mason jar filled with change that he wanted to give as a donation for JABEZ RETURN. I asked if he knew how much was in the jar. He guessed $10.00.  I told him if he came within a dollor of being right I would add enough to make it 10 times what was in the jar.  CONGRATULATIONS KEVIN!  There was $10.41 in the jar and as promised - I deposited $104.10 in Kevin's name to help the people of AFRICA.  That's what it's all about. GET CREATIVE!  Do some interesting to help us reach our goal.  We have a long way to go!  Thanks KEVIN!
