About our Mission . . . .
Operation Swaziland '08 is an a great opportunity for you to partner with us to have a powerful impact on the country of Swaziland.
When I began making these journeys in 2001 the U.S. dollar was worth much more. In the past few years the dollar has gone down in value while the cost of goods and services has gone up.
In spite of that we can still purchase the supplies and obtain services for less than what we can get them for in the U.S.
(Though I am talking about 5 cents on the dollar)
As we plan this trip we are excited about the doors GOD is opening for ministry in high schools. This will be a time of being able to challenge and encourage youth in the areas of:
Building a strong relationship with
Jesus Christ - through Bible study,
prayer & being a part of the local
church.
Being obedient to the authorities that
God has placed in their lives.
True Love Waits - Focus on sexual purity
and upright relationships
Accountability - being a part of a small
group that will him them to be
accountable to grow Spiritually.
We will also be working with several of the local pastors for special services in their churches.
Radio and televison are always a part of our journeys so we look forward to what we will be doing with Channel S & others .

Preparing for a mission trip always challenges me in a variety of ways. Sometimes I forget that GOD is in charge and start trying to "run the show". It isn't long before I am on my knees asking for GOD's help.
A few weeks ago I began making calls to my contacts about getting the tickets. I knew with all that is going on in our world the price was going to be a little higher. WOW! I couldn't believe my ears when they told me $2,450 per ticket. I began to stress about how we would ever be able to raise that by March 1st. (Our target date for the tickets.) At that moment I brought it to the LORD for HIS help. It wasn't long before a missionary gave
me information for his travel agent in Chicago and something amazing took place. .(Every time I purchase tickets something amazing happens.) Carlo at C B Y Travel e-mailed me quickly with the awesome news that he could save us $2,000 off our quoted price ((just under $7,400), if we could purchase the tickets within 24 hours. Thanks to a short-term loan we were able to do it.
(February18, '08) The tickets arrived today! Carlo didn't save us what he had quoted. HE SAVED US MORE! The final price was $2,300 less. I am praising the LORD for this exciting beginning to a long journey.

We are now in Phase One of raising support for the mission trip. Our need is $5,700 to pay back the loan for our plane tickets.
