A Tribute to Bob Ross
Painted: Saturday ~ April 15, 2017
This was my first painting in my home studio. When I sat down to paint, I had this picture in my mind but did not have any sort of reference in front of me to follow. The only painting I had done before this was a "Paint Night" at my church back on March 31st.
I've watched Bob Ross for many years on PBS and then other outlets and still do to this day. This is painted using some of the techniques I have watched him use so many times. I even talked to the "happy little trees" and created "some friends" to share the space with them so they wouldn't be lonely.
The world was a brighter place because of Bob and his love for painting, creatures of all sorts and all of nature. He was kind hearted and caring. Soft spoken and enjoyed teaching the world how to paint. The Joy of Painting indeed.
The biggest problem I had with my first painting has been convincing my friends that I really did paint it.
God bless you!
