This is the 3rd trip to Nicaragua, however it is the first one that is a PEI journey. On the prior trips I was a on a team from a different ministry. It is exciting to have a new PEI Mission in Nicaragua. Please pray for me as there are still many things that need to come together for this to be a success.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
This mission is about being an encouragement to: my "son" Daniel, his family, extended family and the Christian band; ChristWay. (Daniel plays bass for the band.) Prayer, Bible study, worship fellowship and outreach will fill the days that I am with them. GOD is going to do amazing things. Thank you for your prayers. Due to a lack of internet access I can't make any promises about an online journal but I will try to do it.
Lord willing I will also get to connect with the folks from REMAR. It will be a blessing to see what they are doing there and to see if there is some way PEI can partner with them as we have in three countries in Africa. They are an amazing organiz-ation that is dedicated to serving others in Jesus' name around the world.
CBY Travel comes through for me again!
When I asked Carlo at CBY for a miracle price on a ticket, I mentioned: "In the Spirit" you can find one. I was so blessed when I got an email back from him with a price of nearly half off! I was even more amazed that it was on SPIRIT Airlines. I didn't know there was an airline by that name. I will be flying out of REAGAN International in Washington, for the first time.
I will have a layover in Ft. Lauderdale and then fly to Managua getting in a little after midnight. I am not look- ing forward to the heat in Nicaragua. Praying that the humidity will not be bad. The place I am staying has air conditioning as an option. We'll see!
A quiet place for ministry
A quiet place for ministry
Does GOD care about the prayers for flowers?
The day Joyce planted all the flowers they were looking so good. What do I know about taking care of these? Within weeks they were all dying. All I could do was pray and keep trying. I even sang to them. (Maybe that's what the problem was). But I am happy to tell you, GOD does care about the prayers for these flowers and HE cares for me too! What a great blessing this place has been to me and so many others!
When I moved in GOD gave me a vision of people coming here for Bible Study, prayer, worship, counsel, encouragement and a place to rest. It's been all that and more. Day visits, evening visits and overnight guests have been able to enjoy this quiet place for ministry that GOD has provided for me since late April. It's hard to believe summer is nearly gone. Where did it go. In this place GOD is teaching me how to rest, be quiet and sit at HIS feet and learn. Instead of always running to minister here and there GOD is bringing people here to be ministered to. I'm am used to ministering to groups at churches, but GOD is send-ing me individuals and families that need prayer and encourage- ment.
Though this is not what I thought I would be doing it is much like the ministry I am doing in Africa. Being an encourager in the body of Christ is an important ministry. Listening carefully, sitting quietly, and praying with these folks has brought about such healing and hope. JESUS is the answer to every problem they have and every situation they face.
Often we conclude with me washing their feet. Although with some guests that is how I welcome them. It's been a busy time these months. I am thankful for all the LORD has done and is continuing to do as I prepare for what's ahead.
Haven't been here yet? What's keeping you. I look forward to your visit. GOD bless you. 717-471-8737 - call me today.
August 15 ~ Another opportunity to worship with my brothers and sisters at Revolution Church in Hunts Point (Location 1 on the map) and Beacon Bible (location 2) It's always a blessing. Jeff Mohl is one of the most Spirit lead, anointed lead worship people I know. And his message on The Glories of Heaven vs. the Horrors of Hell was awesome. What a joy to know that we have heaven to look forward to if we are Born Again! Jesus is preparing a place for us and we will spend eternity with HIM. We must make every effort to tell people about JESUS so that they
too can have a home in heaven one day. I am thankful for the people of Revolution Church and Beacon Bible who have faithfully prayed for and supported PEI for several years. They are doing a great work in the Bronx. Each is in-volved in evanagelism and discipleship. Pastor Jack Raeside and his wife Tina are celebrating their 35th wedding ann-iversay and it was a blessing to be able to see them again. They are faithful in their leadership at Beacon. Their lives are a testimony and example for the body of Christ in the Bronx. Some of you have visited both churches with me and you know what a wonderful work they are doing there. Remember to pray for: Jeff & Rachel Mohl, Bryan and Amy Johnson, Jack & Tina Raeside and their churches. AMEN!

August 8 ~ Several times each year I have the blessing of being with my MANSHIP CHAPEL Family in Felton, DE. Manship is as close to being in the middle of a corn field as you can be without being completely surrounded by corn. It's a beautiful setting. It's been exciting to watch the church grow. Pastor Bruce, (a chem-ist for the State of Delware) is a half-time pastor with a full-time job. It's almost time for him to retire. When he does - I know he will put even more time into the ministry. I mentor the pastor's son who attends Lancaster Bible College and looks forward to his ministry as the youth pastor at Manship. He's already begun putting effort into that. I can't wait to see that develop.
Manship Chapel has been a faithful support of PEI with prayer and finances for .more than 8 years. Over the years we've become like family and I am so thankful for them. Many of the children I knew when we first began our relationship have now graduated from high school and some are even married with children of their own. I'm getting old!
It's the only camp I know that has a built in alarm clock that is guaranteed to wake you up. I won't give away that secret either. I can only say, if they could patent that they could sell 1 million. This is a camp where they ring a bell when it's time to be silent and go to bed. And they expect it to be silent, and people to stay in bed until they ring the bell to wake up. Believe it or not the students who come to Circle K Camp, cooperate with this rule. It's amazing.
One of the highlights of Circle K Camp is the craz-
iest hayride I have ever seen. I won't give away the details. Maybe you're getting frustrated with me not telling you why all these things are so awesome. Well, it's because they're just so special to me.
Bob and Vera, have put a lot of love into Circle K Camp. That love is sharedby Bob Jr., his wife Vicki and their grown children. It's come full circle now. It's funny I just realized you could say it's come full circle K. now. One day I suspect there will be another Bob Kensinger. And who knows what that will meanthe Circle K Camp?
Thanks for your prayersAs I have been doing ministry this summer. I can't believe summer is coming to an end already. This was a great way for me to end it please pray for Bob Kensinger,Sr., as he has been experiencing some difficulty with his health. I know that God will take good care of him.
What an amazing time I had on the junior high retreat at Circle K Camp this weekend. This is one of my favorite camps. From the moment the kids arrived, until they left the camp I sense the presence of God, and the power of the Holy Spirit upon that place. The youth pastor and the leadership are top-notch. They love their kids, and they are committed to what they are doing. It was obvious that they were there to serve God, and not themselves. I wish every retreat could be like this one. What a blessing it was to get to know them. It was also a blessing speaking to them, because they were so attentive. I must say however, when it comes to being attentive; I have great success with junior high kids.
This unique camp is located near the village of Rock, Pennsylvania. I say unique, because it is like no other camp I have attended. I won't give away their secrets, but those who have experienced it, no exactly what I'm talking about. They have paid attention to detail throughout the whole camp. From the camps trails, to the cabins, to the game center, a dining room, kitchen area, and Chapel; there's nothing like it anywhere. They have a unique way also, of cooking over the fire. The best French toast and pancakes I have ever eaten.

Another amazing weekend retreat at CIRCLE "K" CAMP!
Pastor Chris surrounded by the Jr. High students and staff as they gave him a group hug just before leaving camp. It was a nice way to say so long!
Friends are welcome here!

Since I've been home from Africa, I have been blessed to have many friends come by and spend time here. I enjoy sharing this place with others. The Ritchie's have been dear friends for a long time, but we don't see each other too often. No matter how much time passes, a good friendship stands the test of time. Even though much time passes between visits, when we get together it's like we saw each other yesterday. The children are so talented. Whether it's sports or music, drama, or academics they seem to excel.
One of their children couldn't be with us because of sports practice. But it was good to have everyone else here. They brought dinner with them, and Suzanne, cooked it for us. We had a great time.
Busy schedules, school, and so many other things make it nearly impossible for so many to have relationships with everyone they would like. Sometimes like this are very precious. Moments to remember.
All summer, I've been sending invitations to people, to come by for a visit, and enjoy this place that God has blessed me with. Though many have come already, I am looking forward to having more times like these. Who's next? Maybe it will be you. God bless you! Hope to see you soon.
