"Up Up and Away"

   I've been thinking for a few days about my next painting and a friend confirmed it. I was thinking about painting a memory from my most recent trip to Kenya.  I went on a Hot Air Balloon Adventure over the Masai Mara Game Preserve and it was amazing. I dreamed my whole life of going up in a hot air baloon.  Finally do it was awesome.

  The other night at dinner with a friend that came up in a conversation when she asked me if I saw the hot air balloon near my house a day or so ago. One thing lead to another and she said: "paint me a picture with a hot air balloon for my daughter's room.

    Tonight when I got home from Bible Study at church, I went to work on it. This one took longer than all the other paintings I've done.  Knowing it was going to be for a little girl's room I was challenged to make it a kid friendly adventure she could dream about doing some day.
