"Somewhere in the West"
Painted: Friday ~ April 21, 2017
With winter coming to Swaziland now, (during our summer), I remember just how brown it gets there. It reminds me of when I was traveling out west many years ago. All that brown was a bit intimidating to me but, since GOD is directing me and HE had already showed me the picture in my mind all I had to do was paint and let Him lead.
This one was really fun. As I watching the details in the painting come together I was facinated with how things began to appear right before my eyes even though I could not have even thought to make those details let alone actually make them. There's no doubt I have someone guiding these shaking neuropathy, arthritis riddled hands and fingers.
It's really my favorite so far, although I wish I had made some bolder contrasts in color as the details are a bit lost in the paint much like many of the details out west get blurred by the blowing dust and sand.
God bless you!
